September 14, 2023 Today at JETNET iQ, Gogo VP of Finance Transformation and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I) Jay Boykin moderated a panel called “Agents for Change: Diversity, Equity & Inclusion in an Evolving Industry.”
The panelists, Dr. Sharon DeVivo the President of Vaughn College, Mel Solomon President of GE Honda Aero Engines, Joe Rivera Vice President Service Center Operations for Gulfstream, Shelley A. Svoren CEO + Founder of Infinite Branches, who were led in the discussion by Jay Boykin Vice President of Finance Transformation / Diversity, Equity & Inclusion at Gogo Business Aviation, discussed ways to make Business Aviation training and education more inclusive, increase awareness of DE&I issues in the industry, and understand the exposure, education, and experience we can only stand to gain by improving our DE&I standards.
As Shelley Svoren, one of the panelists, wisely said: “If you want to see change, you have to be a part of it.”
